Dr. Karen Chan obtained her Bachelor of Arts & Science from McGill University prior to completing her Doctorate of Optometry at the Pacific University College of Optometry. She has had the privilege of working with a variety of patients, ranging from veterans to Air Force pilots to young children, during her clinical rotations across North America.
Her clinical and personal experiences have led her to take a special interest in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses. In addition to English, she is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin. During her time at Pacific University, Dr. Chan was an active member of several organizations. She served as the Vice President of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honour Society and participated in two eye care mission trips to Senegal, Africa. She looks forward to participating in more outreach programs to provide care to underserved populations in the future.
When not in the exam room, Dr. Chan enjoys running, rock climbing, or cozying up with a good book. She believes that everyone must protect their vision, and is ready to equip her patients with the knowledge and resources to maintain happy and healthy eyes.
